Mechanical and Acoustic Properties of Ceramsite Sound Absorbing Boards with Gradient Structure

In this work, ceramsite was utilized to fabricate the sound-absorbing boards, in which two types of structure were considered, specifically, single-layer board with homogenous and double-layer gradient structure. The physical, mechanical acoustic properties these prepared sound absorbing boards studied, including bulk density, compressive strength, flexural softening coefficient, absorption coefficient reduction index. results show that appropriate mixture design exhibited almost identical density strength board. All had strengths more than 3 MPa 1 MPa, respectively, also demonstrated good water resistance. terms insulation properties, overall performance reasonable better addition, physical models established illustrate variation disclose mechanism material.
